One-to-one mentorship

Personal mentoring for students considering or applying to Oxford, Cambridge and other leading UK universities, built around guidance, confidence and informed decisions.

Mentorship at Shajara is more than tutoring. Alongside practical help with each stage of the application, mentors help students make informed decisions, build confidence and understand the wider journey to a leading university.

Students are matched with a mentor from our network of Oxford and Cambridge students and alumni, across a broad range of subjects (subject to mentor availability). Sessions are shaped around the student’s chosen course, their stage in school and what they find most challenging.

How to get started

  1. Enquire using our short enquiry form.
  2. Have a free initial conversation (15 to 30 minutes, by phone or video) so we can understand the student’s goals.
  3. Agree a package of 6 or 10 sessions that suits the student.
  4. Pay securely online, then complete a short onboarding form so we can match the student with a mentor.

Sessions take place on Zoom or Google Meet. Parents and guardians of students under 18 are kept informed, and all communication follows our safeguarding approach.
